Dearest Subu has passed on

Subu, the gentle giant mastiff has left us on Sunday, 8th January 2012. She suffered from compications from her pregnancy. She was too old and could not sustain the pregnancy. The foetus died inside and resulted in toxic in her blood system. The vet has given her blood transfusion because of low platelet count , a surgery was performed to remove dead foetus but she could not make it and died the next day.

Subu was not spayed as she was already old and would not be able to stand the anesthesia. None of the ground workers saw any male dogs into her kennel as she is kept in the kennel all by herself. Subu, we miss you dearly.

Updates from Brindle's (formerly Subu) new home!

Brindle and Kerry

Our gentle giant, Subu, has been settling comfortably into her new life after being adopted by Robynn. Besides being given a new name, Brindle, she has also put on weight and was immensely curious about her new environment at first. This resulted in a lot of cats being chased all around the house by a very energetic blue mastiff!

Adopted: Blue Mastiff, Subu

Subu, a fearless and loyal 7 year old Blue Mastiff has a new owner!

A kind-hearted lady, Robynn, had agreed to take care of Subu for the next two years until her teaching term is up.

When Subu’s new owner first met her new companion, she was delighted and called her a “gorgeous” dog.

We bet Subu will be equally delighted, as Robynn has a huge compound with lots of space for Subu to run around instead of being caged up in a small kennel.

The 10 Canine Commandments # 4

We think every dog owner should read and understand these 10 canine commandments =)

We don’t know the origins or author of these 10 canine commandments but we sure like to share it with everyone >_<

4th poster gal is Subu, whom may look like she’s about to tear you apart but is actually very gentle.

ps: my apologies for the spelling error in the poster. Cruicial is meant to be crucial >_<

Subu the gentle giant

Never judge a book by it’s cover =)

Subu, although huge in size and has the look of a very grumpy dog, is a gentle giant.  Click here to read more about Subu when she was first brought back to the shed. She was all skin and bone then. Subu is very friendly toward human, and generally friendly toward other furrizens. She loved nudging us (instead of barking) to get our attention =)

SUBU, THEN

SUBU, NOW

Although still quite skinny, but we do think she’s looking more cheerful now… rite? rite? :D And i personally think the blue collar look smashing on her =)

Unfortunately, because of Subu’s gigantic size, she rarely get to enjoy her well-deserved bath :(

Thanks Richard for bathing Subu =) Any male dog lover out there willing to help us give Subu a bath? >_<
