It’s CNY, but the furrizen’s still gotta eat

Firstly, Zillion Trillion Thanks to Mrs Lai and her maid for helping to feed the furrizens throughout the New Year. We are not trying to glorifying them in this post as we believe others too who are taking care of their furrizens in their respective shelters like Jacqueline Tsang of Save A Stray, Ruth and Amy of Garden of Eden.Winnie of Cherished Life Home, Sabrina of Furry Friends Farms to name a few, are also doing the same. Its just does make us feel quilty not being able to attend to our helpless and homeless furrizens at the shed during this festive season.

They have helped to construct a temporary shelter for the Aunty Kiew and Uncle Wong newly rescued pups outside the shed. The 5 pups are about 7 weeks old and they have been vaccinated.If you would like to give them a home please give us a call.

Phew!! That’s how overpopulated the shed is.. we have no choice but to put the new intake outside the shed.

Another dog dumped at us

In case some may wonder how can the shed be overcrowded since we’re trying our best to rehome the furrizens, this is one of the reason.

Every week, we have an average of 3-5 dogs dumped outside the shed. And today is no exception.

However, we’re very shocked at the condition of the poor dog... terribly skinny and weak, just lying there almost motionless.

Aunty Kiew gently put the dog in the carrier and Aunty Kim rush him/her to the vet.. As of now, we’re not sure how the dog is doing. Fingers crossed he/she will be alrite.

Aunty Kiew cautiously, gently and expertly moved the poor dog into the dog carrier.

The poor dog was fatigue and almost motionless, didn’t even really struggle ( as most would do when stranger approach them ) when Aunty Kiew moved him/her.

The sign that left us devastated

The moment that we all have been dreading has finally show up one day in the form of a big notice board…

The place that we’re currently occupying to temporarily house the rescued strays and abandoned pets will be developed in the near future.

While we’re searching up and down for new place to relocate our shelter, we hope to get furrizens here rehomed. Please, if you or somebody you know is looking for a pet, why not get them to adopt instead. The furrizens here may not be of pedigree breed, but they deserve a loving home and family as well. And if you’re not sure if you’re ready for a pet, you can always choose to foster.. We love to have more people helping us to foster as this mean they will be more well taken care of and receive the care and attention they needed. With the shed being over-populated and us being short-handed, there’s only so much care and attention we can provide to the animals there.

Anyone know where can we rent or buy a piece of land for really really low price please do write to us. Or.. it would be an utter joy and delight for us if someone would lend/donate a small piece of land…please please.. We and the furrizens would be eternally grateful..

It seems that this week has become the week of bad news (except, of course, for the delightful update from Buffy’s awesome owner ).

Our vet bills is on all time high due to the number of sick dogs in the shed. The number of puppies in the shed are also on all time high.

Another 12 new puppies ( 2 weeks old only) last week, so we now have around 30 puppies (less than 2 months old)  in the shed.

Finally, in the midst of all this discouraging news, we’re absolutely overjoyed to be receiving donation of much needed dog kibbles from

Get Well Soon

Kopi, Ah Boy and Docky, get well very soon!! We hate to see y’all suffer :(

Ah Boy, whom used to roam around the temple and were very wary of human, somehow started trusting us and Aunty Kiew managed to coax him into moving into the shed.

We’re really glad that we’re able to start treating his eyes and skin condition. Unfortunately, because we haven’t had the chance to vaccinate him, he got sick :(

Docky, the old man in the shed and Kopi, too, are not feeling too well.

Please help us send lots and lots of positive vibes to DOcky, Ah Boy and Kopi for SPEEDY RECOVERY and the rest of the furrizens in the shed so that they’ll be in the pinkiest health always! >_<

Overcrowded

Our shed are seriously overcrowded.

For every dog that is adopted, we’re getting 5 new dogs.

To some of you whom had called for help on some strays at your place, we’re terribly sorry that we’re not able to help keep the dogs as we already have new intakes ( not one but several ) every week from our dedicated caretaker, Uncle Wong/Aunty Kiew.

We’re really happy to know that there are many kind souls out there who’s been feeding the strays. You all are angels, please continue making a difference for these strays!

New addition to the shed in just 2 weeks!

4 huge dogs! I can’t really tell them apart and some pictures below may be of the same dog.. too many dogs and limited brain memory space @_@

Way way too many puppies… I don’t see no mummy so we really do appreciate if someone could donate some milk powder for puppies.. please? pretty please?

Bibi’s pups ~ Gone too soon

Despite all the pre-cautions steps taken, we‘re totally baffled when Bibi’s pups leave us one by one..

This is why we’re always in need of fosterer for mum and their new borns. This is also why we’re reluctant to take in pregnant mummy or very young pups. It always break our heart when the furrizens in our shed leave us this way.. Aunty Kiew/Uncle Wong/Fan/Mrs Lai clean the shed everyday on weekday while the rest of the volunteers help clean the shed on weekend, the four-legged fren are constantly fed with vitamins and sent to vet for vaccination when due.. but still, death still managed to come and grab some away.

we’re truly sorry for your lost.

So you think it’s funny?

One of us receive a call from an uncle who obviously think we’re too stressed out and decided that we need a comic relief.

The phone call goes something like this:

Uncle : Hi, you all got dogs for adoption is it?

Us : Yes,

Uncle : How many dogs you got arr?

Us : We currently have more than 50 dogs at the shed

Uncle : I want all your dogs!

Us : *gasps in delight* Huh, really?

Uncle: Yeah, coz i want to give then to my vietnamese workers to cook and eat.

Us: *stunned* you try and see. I’ll report you.

Uncle : No lar, joking only..

Oh my.. thanks, but no thanks for the comic relief, uncle.

These are three 3-week-old puppies who wereALMOST got caught by the DBKL. They are all up for adoption. One of the brown male got adopted on last Saturday. If you are not able to adopt, maybe you could help us foster them for few weeks?
