Best Furry Frens Forever ~ BFFF~

The furry frens, like most of us, have their bffs.
BFFF # 1 : Wai Wai and Mel Mel ( Caramel )

Aren’t their playfulness and cheerfulness a sight to behold? Wai Wai has been adopted during our last adoption drive… Mel Mel has been looking a little forlorn since then.. Just like we will when we miss our BFF.
We really hope a kind soul would be able to give Mel Mel a loving home. Mel is a very cheerful and tough chic (her scar on her back is a testament of how tough she is). She absolutely loves human companion and will love you unconditionally.

Whoo is this?

Dear Second Chance Readers & Supporters,

Any idea whose butt is it? The cute lil' one is happily welcoming her daily care taker.

Hello there! It's me Miss Caramel a.k.a. Ah Mel. I am the living proof of Miracles do happen. I am a survivor of the evil distemper virus and also a survivor of severe dog-attack injuries. See my cute little tipped ear and the huge pink scar around my butt? I have been spayed but the cute tipped ear is not a marking of my spaying procedure. It is the proof of my amazing recovery from an terrible dog fight. Read more about my awful experience here

No biggies. I am doing extremely fine at Second Chance shelter now and I have taken up a new role, i.e. the receptionist of my respective kennel. Can you resist my big bright smile and hazel eyes when you walk into the shelter? Believe it or not, I really really make a perfect receptionist to greet you when you're home & welcome your guests.

And guess what? Despite my awful experience being attacked by a pack of dogs, I ain't traumatized by the ugly experience and I am still a very sociable & adorable (wink, wink) doggie. See how me and my bestie get along at the shelter? We even synchronize our greet-our-daily-caretaker dance. Amazing huh?

Don't you think I am sooooo adorable and I would be a lovely addition to your family? Pawlease pawlease pawlease.... Drop by to visit me and my fur friends @ Second Chance Shelter on 18 & 19 February.

Me and my other oh-so adorable fur friends are longing for a home sweet home too! Pinky promise that you will at least drop by to visit us (bringing us some doggie snacks, old newspaper & rice would be even the most AWESOMEST thing ever!!) & we will definitely shower you with loads of pooches' smooches (much more that you could imagine) =*

Lastly, I would love to thank all the kind donors & caretakers who have donated funds for my costly treatment + wonderful supplements that helped me tremendously during my recover period + loads of TLC + visit me at Dr Goh's Clinic. And also Dr Goh & his helper who have taken good care of me while I was admitted to his clinic. Now that I am big & healthy, all I want is a loving home. I purrmise.... I will love my adopter & family to bits! If you are unable to adopt me, at least, help us spread the words on the adoption drive! I would love to share my love with more beautiful people. =) XoXo

Loads of pooches smooches,
Caramel

Caramel’s swanky “hand-me-down” collar

Bought this really pretty rugged collar for Flower as we thought it would look splendid on her and it did! Unfortunately the collar was a little too loose for Flower’s slender neck.

ps: Love the collar? It’s RM20 each. Chinese New Year is just around the corner… why not get this for your furry fren? :D

And guess who the collar went to? None other than our Caramel >_< It fit her just nice!

Updates on Caramel

Remember Caramel? She had a very bad wound on her back and down to her thighs. She is now back at the shelter and her wounds are almost fully recovered. She is happy to report that she is happy her skin is getting better and fur are slowly growing back. Here are some pictures of Caramel.

Updates on Caramel

Everyone must have been wondering how our cheerful Caramel is doing after her ordeal. Here are some pictures of Caramel.

Caramel is a very friendly girl. From the first picture, you can see that she is already making friends with the lady at Dr Goh's front door. She still recognised Dr Goh's Burmese assistant and remember the routine of the treatment. Dr Goh always gave her a treat after the bandage (she turned to Dr Goh for the treat, much to Dr Goh's amusement)! Dr Goh said she is doing fine and should be healing fully soon. Dr Goh noticed she has gained a lot of weight now. She eats twice a day and enjoys eating .

Caramel Says Thank You

We would like to thank Dr Goh who never gives up on Caramel,
our fellow rescuer friends who help us to spread the words on appealing for funds for Mel,
kind donors who chip in Mel's medical fund generously,
volunteers who pay visit to Mel & bring her fish essence, chicken essence and home cooked food,
PetFinder.my for collecting donations for Mel as well...

The list is non-exhaustive... We just wanna thank everyone for giving Caramel a second chance in life.

A big woof woof from Caramel =)

Can You Help Caramel?

We thought we have seen the worst with Sammy boy’s wound, but this one certainly far surpassed that - the most disgusting & yucky wound we have ever encountered!

Caramel was found lying motionless one morning with severe injuries, and was rushed to Dr Goh’s clinic for emergency treatment.

The tough cookie is currently on 4 types of antibiotics to fight her infections and also on IV drips.

Up Close and Personal with … Chestnut, Caramel and Spark

Chestnut, Caramel and Spark are the 3 pups given to us during our IOI adoption drive.

They were fostered to health by Mrs Lai before being sent to what I personally called ‘Mei Mei’s house for the orphanage’ >_<

All 3 are for adoption and this time I managed to match the name (and gender) given to the pups @_@

Do write to us if you like to adopt ( or even foster ) them =)
