First of all, our Zillion Thanks to SPCA for giving us the opportunity to spay 5 of our furrizens at their Klinik Kembiri at a discounted rate ( God knows we need to save as much $$ as we can ). Thanks also to the volunteer from SPCA whom helped us transport the furrizens from our shed to Klinik Kembiri =) And not forgetting to Mrs Lai and Kim (who took leave from work to attend to this).
While waiting, we met Handsome Whisky and his owner. Handsome Whisky is also waiting to be spayed.
Tina, Leena and Keena waiting to be spayed. ( I hope i got the names rite.. :D ) Leena is exceptionally quiet…
Candy and Meena are out of surgery. This is my first time accompanying the furrizen for spaying so the sight is pretty unnerving…
Since spaying is performed under anesthesia, this mean the furry fren will be unconscious while the surgery is performed. Therefore they have no control of their body , thus you’ll see their tongue sticking out in most cases ( so, no need to panic like i did >_< )..
and be noted that they have no control of the bladder too.. ie. if you’re not boarding them at the vet, wait until they’re awake and let them get oriented first before taking them home.. Else your car will be filled with pee and poo-poo :D
This pretty black dog also came out the same time as Meena and Candy. But she is super duper hyper active. While still in drowsy state, she kept trying to walk and keep falling and knocking into stuff.. ( To visualize.. imagine a really really drunk person trying to walk a straight line ). It’s great to see every furry owner there taking turn looking after her to ensure she don’t injure herself =) We were getting worried as the owner is nowhere in sight… Lucky he showed up after a while..
Anyway, Leena who has been exceptionally quiet didn’t go through the spaying process as the vet find that she has breathing difficulty due to some medical term that i can’t remember. No wonder she’s so quiet. So Leena will be sent to get her lungs/abdomen checked and x-rayed (if necessary)… Fingers and toes crossed that she’ll be fine…
Candy and Meena woke up from the anesthesia slumber..
And Tina and Keena got out of surgery
Meena and Candy almost recovered from the drowsy state..
And it’s time to head back to the shelter..
Lastly, all 5 of them are now very available to be adopted. So please do write to us if you wish to take them home =)
