It’s not always a happy ending..
There’s never always a happy ending for every rescues.. Time and time again we have to deal with the loss of our dear 4 legged friends. And it is always harder when we already bonded with them.
These are pictures of Smartie and Sweetie, these 10-day pups were rescued from near the side of a drain behind our shed, actually there were 3 of them, one passed away already when found.
Aunty Kiew took them back to the shed and cleaned the wound and the maggots ( it’s basically crawling all over the pups). As they were so sickly and fragile, both were passed to Mrs Lai to be fostered, but Smartie ( the male pup) passed away 2 days later and Sweetie lived on for another 3 more days before succumb to the injury ( could be bitten by some animals).
Sweetie was a very sweet and smart pup , she would respond to Mrs Lai calling her.
To Sweetie and Smartie and their un-named sibling, we hope you’re running happily over the other side.

Another dog dumped at us
In case some may wonder how can the shed be overcrowded since we’re trying our best to rehome the furrizens, this is one of the reason.
Every week, we have an average of 3-5 dogs dumped outside the shed. And today is no exception.
However, we’re very shocked at the condition of the poor dog... terribly skinny and weak, just lying there almost motionless.
Aunty Kiew gently put the dog in the carrier and Aunty Kim rush him/her to the vet.. As of now, we’re not sure how the dog is doing. Fingers crossed he/she will be alrite.
Aunty Kiew cautiously, gently and expertly moved the poor dog into the dog carrier.
The poor dog was fatigue and almost motionless, didn’t even really struggle ( as most would do when stranger approach them ) when Aunty Kiew moved him/her.
Wish you a speedy recovery, poor doggie…

Another Departure to heaven
We wish the title is another departure to loving home.. we truly do.
But as heartbreaking as it is, we keep telling ourselves that the furrizens that have passed away are in better place.
After fighting for her life for a week, Kopi left us to join recently departed Samy and Poppy in heaven.
Kopi, please tell them we miss them so very much and we hope they’re enjoying a free, painless and wonderful after-life..
ps: Sandy misses her boy Samy, so please give Samy a kiss on behalf on Sandy yeah..
~ Rest In Peace, Kopi ~

Do You Like Ratatouille?
Have you seen Aunti Kiew’s white rat before?
Buncit & Comot were in the cage as auntie Kiew was busy preparing dog food for the mama dog…
….
..
.
Then I spotted a white, tiny furball near the cages.
It’s a RAT!!
P/S: Sorry for the blurry pics…. you know… taking pics of rats are way more difficult than taking pics of cats n dogs!
The rat trying to get attention from Buncit
Buncit just ignored the rat totally as she was finding her way to get out from the cage.
The rat even visited the new comer – Midnight a.k.a Hitam who stays on top of Ms Buncit & Ms Comot.
A Very Touching Moment…
Auntie Kiew’s Cat (Ms Lar CharMau) & Poodle (Mr Brown) & Bunbit & Comot were welcoming Mr Midnight with open hands!

Some Bad and Good News
Our morning did not really start well. We received a SOS message from Jacqueline of SAS . 6 Beautiful puppies of Labrador and retriever mixed with collars and harnesses caught in the pound! Our heart sank! The thought of puppies been helpless in the pound is a very sad. Our mind starts to wandered …. what actually happened??? PETS OWNERS, PLEASE …PLEASE….may it be a puppy or an adult dog make sure your pet do not escape from your house compound. Dog catchers are never happier to catch them. They are paid for every dog they catch. Kind hearted Jacqueline quickly make the necessary arrangement to rescue them once we are able to assist her.
Puppies in pound is really not a good sight. Pictures taken from MDDB’s blog
…sigh,sigh…sigh..sob,sob… 6 beautiful puppies with COLLARS and HARNESSES were put down today instead of tomorrow morning as told…. the rest are left to be imagined…..
Danson who adopted our Softball in Mar 2010 smsed us this morning. Softball left him….may he rest in peace…..
Despite these 2 unhappy incidents Mr Daniel called to cheer us up.We really do not remember who he is (sorry Mr Daniel, as we only dealt with you once last year). He called to inform us that Tri Tri’s 3 pups adopted by Mr Bala in Port Dickson are the luckiest dogs he has even met. According to him 3 of them are happily running around the house and get to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the sea in front daily besides getting a dip once in a while.Mr Daniel said he will introduce people to our shed again. Thanks Mr Daniel for bringing Mr Bala here to adopt our puppies. We remember you now.

Have You Met Docky?
We are sure some of you actually read Docky’s story during the adoption drive @ Pet World Expo.
The ribbons & stars & hearts for Docky on last Saturday.
Hello everyone,
I am Docky. I am 12-year old, male, single & availabe. I was abandoned by my owner when they shift to their new house.
I have been waiting for my owner for the past two years. I could still recognise my owner’s car (Toyota Altis) with my blurred vision. I could still run like a horse to chase the Altis whenever I see one.
My rescuer, Vivien is actually my long-time neighbour. I knew her since she was in kindergarten & now she is gonna have her SPM exam this year. She has been feeding me & bath me occasionally since my owner abandoned me. Thank you Vivien! I love you…
*Docky waiting for Vivien outside her house*
Vivien asked us to rescue Docky as she notice Docky’s left ears was bleeding for days due to dog fight. She has been applying medication for him for the past few days.
We caged Docky at night and sent him off to the vet the next morning.
Docky was so puzzled at the vet =(
Dr Zamzi said Docky smell like maggots. He quickly checked his left ear & found that his left ear was full of maggots. But luckily we do not need to amputate his ear. He also has zillions of ticks on his body.
Dr Zamzi quickly applied medication to kill all the maggots before removing those disgusting creatures.
We visited Docky the next day. He was resting in the cage & eats very little.
According to the vet, he is very depressed & down now. =(( We are sure he misses his owner terribly!
We look forward to see your happy face soon!
Thank you everyone from the bottom of Docky’s paws. Thank you for sponsoring his weekly food & medical expenses during the Pet World Expo. Docky is one of the dogs who collected the most ribbons, stars & hearts.
