Ah Boy - Rehomed, Lost and Found

Just when we were still rejoicing about Ah Boy getting a new home on one Sunday evening (mid of October), adopted by a nice young couple, Mr Raymond and Daphine all the way from Kajang, our happy moment was shortlived by a phone call from Raymond that Ah Boy has gone missing in the next morning!! Ah Boy, a 1 1/2 years old male dog, very tame and docile, is very loveable and adorable. He has black shiny fluffy hair. He is one of Aunty Kiew's favorite faithful dog!

Ah Boy apparently had dug a hole underneath the front chain linked fence of Raymond's house. Hence we started the first search operation in Kajang town in the afternoon. However it was not successful. Search ended at 4pm due to heavy jam. Second search was carried out in the night, our dear friend Kim was still wearing her working outfit with her high heel shoes, walking around the Kajang town area!! (thank you Kim, we love you so much, for being so concerned and helpful!!). Hmmm...another failure end at 12am.

We decided another search on second day afternoon. This round Fan offered to be the driver (Fan has not been to Kajang before! and offered to drive! looking for a lost dog!...wow Fan, a very brave woman)...as you all know, it is not easy to find a lost dog in a total unfamiliar place. Two ladies ended unsuccessful as well. Here came the forth round of the search, Kim offered as the driver, 3 ladies started the journey at 8pm, headed to Kajang town again. As in the morning Raymond called that he spotted Ah Boy wondering nearby a church close to his house, so this round we have some clue. We zoomed in to New Era College, railway station, then to the church (full search, every corner). While we were in the church compound, Aunty Kiew decided to call Raymond, telling him we were in the town, to ask him to give us a call if he happen to spot Ah Boy by chance. I think God must have heard this conversation, when we are about to head towards the food court area, just within 10 minutes times, Raymond called!! He spotted Ah Boy near his house, walking towards the hilly slope! Phew! we flew to Raymond's house within 5 minutes.

Rushing out from the car, Raymond greeted us and he lead us to where Ah Boy was. Our dear Boy, he was so lost walking on the road side. We dare not walk close him. Aunty Kiew tried to approach him by calling his name, he was hesitating, decided to walk further up hill. Aunty Kiew then called "blacky..blacky"...it is the name of Ah Boy's mummy. Sound familiar to Ah Boy, he stayed calm, then Aunty Kiew quickly walked close him and hugged him!! Ah Boy did not fight back, he was in total relief to see Aunty Kiew! What a cherish moment when we all see this...Ah Boy is in our hand again!! Aunty Kiew carried him back all the way to Raymond's house. Ah Boy must be so frightened, so lost, so panic, so... etc, whatever you can think of when you are lost in a total strange place! And he was so hungry. Most important of all, he missed Aunty Kiew so much! For the next moment, he lied down on Aunty Kiew's lap and never wanted to leave her...

After few moments of chit-chatting, we decided that Raymond to chain Ah Boy over the night and for the next few weeks until he is fully comfortable with his new home. So, off we headed back to KL after saying goodbye to Ah Boy and the family. It was truly a happy journey on the way home and it was worth the trip, knowing that Ah Boy is in safe hand again.

P/S : Ah Boy was returned to Aunty Kiew the next day because he made noises the whole following night and neighbour had made complain to Raymond's family. Ah Boy is back to Old Klang Road again. Sometimes we did what we think is the best for a dog, but we have ignored how they feel. May be they just need more time to get used to the new environment!! Thank you Raymond and Daphine for your help!
